Fuerteventura est une perle rare, il y a beaucoup à faire et à voir et de plus sans être dérangé par la foule et dans un cadre décontracté. Cette excursion à la journée au centre de l'île vous propose de découvrir la ville historique de Betancuria, le village de pêcheurs d'Ajuy et de découvrir des attractions telles qu'une plantation d'aloe vera et des fermes.

Vous prendrez place dans un microbus confortable et nous ferons un premier arrêt dans une plantation d'aloe vera. Nous partirons ensuite à la découverte du phare aux influences mauresques qui surplombe la plage de Las Playitas. À Ajuy, vous pourrez admirer la vue depuis les falaises de craie qui surplombent la plage noire et les bateaux de pêche.

Nous partirons ensuite à travers les montagnes pour rejoindre la ville blanchie à la chaux de Betancuria. Découvrez l'église sainte Marie, dont l'extérieur très simple tranche avec son intérieur richement décoré. Vous pourrez déguster des fromages dans une ferme d'élevage de chèvres toute proche, avant de terminer cette journée par une visite au musée du fromage à Antigua.

Ajuy and Las Peñitas Walking Tour with Picnic

Everything that makes the western highlands of Fuerteventura special comes together on this walking tour. Your guide will lead you through one of the island's greenest areas and barren landscapes with a Wild West feel, all the way to the fishing village of Ajuy – and there's a few hidden surprises on this well-known route. Fernando, one of our insider guides, says ‘Every year, on the third Saturday of September, thousands of islanders dressed in traditional Canarian costume pilgrimage through the gorge to worship Fuerteventura's patron saint.'Discover off the beaten track parts of Fuerteventura as you embark on foot, crisscrossing valleys from the hamlet of Vega de Rio Palmas to the hermitage of Las Peñitas. There'll be plenty of photo stops and the chance to rest in the shade under one of the many date trees which dot the route. Thanks to the surrounding sea of green vegetation and otherworldly rock formations, locals refer to the area as the ‘Oasis of Fuerteventura'. Film fans, though, can spot it in one of the scenes from the Marvel movie, The Eternals.Continue the trail along a gorge towards the coast and we'll reach the wave washed Ajuy. This remote village is famed for its sea caves, which you'll get time to explore along with its black volcanic beaches. Stroll along the shore at El Jurado and treat your feet to a dip in the refreshing water of the Atlantic. We'll tuck into a well-deserved picnic before heading back.

Jandia dolphin-watching cruise in Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura Villages Tour

Fuerteventura is that rare gem – there's plenty to do and see but in laid-back and uncrowded surrounds. This daytrip to the centre of the island will explore the historic town of Betancuria and the fishing village of Ajuy and take in attractions such as an aloe vera plantation and a farm.Setting off in a comfortable minibus, your first stop is the aloe vera plantation. Next up is the polka-dotted Moorish-influenced lighthouse overlooking Las Playitas beach. Lanzarote express ferry with transfer

If you're itching to explore another of the Canary Islands while you're in Fuerteventura, then this easy trip to Lanzarote will see you hopping there and back in a day. You'll catch the ferry over from Corralejo and dock in Playa Blanca, where it's up to you how you spend your time until the return ferry late in the afternoon.The ferry will leave mid-morning for a quick 45-minute crossing to the volcanic lands of Lanzarote. Once you've stepped on to its shores, you'll have about five hours to explore, see and do as you wish. Playa Blanca's got a whole host of shops, bars and seafood restaurants lining the promenade, which are perfect for a spot of lunch.There are also three beaches – two of which are Blue Flag winners, so you're guaranteed great sunbathing conditions. Alternatively, head out of town to see Los Hervideros, a string of wind and wave-battered volcanic cliffs, and one of Lanzarote's top attractions.
