Europe's highest volcano looms large over Sicily, so this family-friendly tour takes you as close to the top as you can. You'll be driven to Rifugio Sapienza, then swap to a cable car and 4x4 vehicle to reach the main crater at about 2,900m above sea level. The views and lunar landscape from here are nothing short of breathtaking.

Nature trails, caves, woods, and lava flows typify the landscape that leads to the top of Mt Etna. And after pick-up from your hotel you'll be driven to about 1900m above sea level at Rifugio Sapienza on the south side of Etna, where you'll hop off the bus to unearth some more.

On the way you'll learn all there is to know about Mt Etna and its explosive past. And don't worry – there'll be plenty of facts for the little ones to take in, too. Then, you'll get to see it all for yourself during some free time. Switch to a cable car and jump into an off-road vehicle that'll take you rumbling along to the main crater. You'll want your camera for this one.

Atemberaubend! Ab der 1.Sekunde im Bus hat uns Fabio, unser Guide mit Leidenschaft die Geschichte der Entstehung Siziliens durch den Etna erzählt. Wie dieser Vulkan die Landschaft geprägt hat. Auf dem Weg zum Vulkan haben wir auch viel von der Umgebung erklärt bekommen, uns hat der Enthusiasmus unseres Guides begeistert! Unser Guide schleuste uns schnell mit der Seilbahn nach oben, die Wanderung auf dem Vulkan ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Die Busfahrt mit Pipo war auch jederzeit entspannt!

Die Tour war sehr spannend und kurzweilig gestaltet. Fabio als Reiseleiter ist wirklich Klasse. Er kümmert sich um seine Gäste, erzählt viel von Land, Leute und natürlich dem Ätna. Er gibt wertvolle Reisetipps und geht auf die Fragen der Gäste ein. Der einzige kleine Wermutstropfen an der Sache war: Der Ätna war sehr" freundlich"... Aber dafür können weder TUI noch Fabio etwas... Vielen Dank für die sehr schöne Tour!

Der Tourguide hat es sehr gut organisiert, wir sind geschlossen mit der Seilbahn und den Unimogs oben angekommen und hatten dadurch nur wenig Wartezeit. Am Schluss war noch genug Zeit um Souvenir einzukaufen.

Rent faktisk flyttede Hollywood til denne del af verden for at filme scenerne til Godfather-trilogien, så denne tur byder på to sicilianske bjerglandsbyer, der var med i filmene, hvor vi skal genoplive nogle af de mest berømte scener.Lidt som med spøgelsesbyer, er disse sicilianske landsbyer næsten efterladte nu om dage. Vi starter med den lille by Savoca, hvor vi finder kirken, som Al Pacinos karakter, Michael Corleone, blev gift i. Vi følger i hans fodspor, når vi går rundt i de snoede gader, og du kan også prøve den stol han sad i når vi besøger Bar Vitelli.Efter en tur gennem landskabet, kommer vi snart til middelalderlige Forza d'Agro, en lille bjerglandsby, hvor du kan se kirken Annuncation, også kendt via Godfather. Selvom du ikke er fan af filmene, er udsigten fra disse bjerglandsbyer helt fantastisk.
